… an artist.

Hi! I’m Grace (she/her). I am an artist who, of the five senses, is primarily concerned with things you can hear. I’ve been playing or making noises or drawing or doodling since before my temporal lobes learned how to store long-term memories. I like things that are beautiful—the stars, the moon, mountains, waterfalls, friendships, relationships, love, kindness—and I like to, when I can, incorporate those things into my art.

BOYSTOWN

a movie musical
book & lyrics - william nedved
music - grace escandón

Escandón & Nedved

BOYSTOWN is a movie musical about two friends - Ned, an insecure white guy from rural Iowa, and Alex, a fearless Mexican-American from the suburbs - looking for love in Chicago’s gay club scene in the early years of this century. Popping with fever-dream visuals and pulsating with Y2K-era electronica, BOYSTOWN is a queer fantasia on addiction, assimilation, and authenticity.
